K. Indigo Rønlov, M.A.
Indigo (or in Egypt, Zahra) received her master's degree in Ecopsychology from Naropa University and is working on her Ed. D. in Organizational Change and Leadership at Meridian University. She is a member of the lineage of Thoth held by Nicki Scully, and is a Minister of Walking Prayer with the Center for Sacred Studies. As a priestess dedicated to serving Ma'at, goddess of cosmic order, justice, and harmony, she is committed to seeking and personifying Truth. Indigo is a student, practitioner, and teacher of the comprehensive healing art form, Alchemical Healing as well as Egyptian Alchemy. Additionally, she brings deep shamanic experience, herbal studies, reiki, past life regression, and more to her medicine bag. It is Indigo's intention to live life in service to the health of our planet and all who reside here, and in this she has discovered something quite profound and rewarding.
While in Egypt to lead tours, Indigo makes the time to give her time in service to the notion that handwork is essential for a healthy planet by providing tools such as scissor, crochet hooks, and rug looms, as well as training to use these tools though her non-profit, Zahra Handworks Foundation, a 501(c)(3). Zahra is dedicated to sharing the value of handwork, especially when creating from reclaimed and recycled materials. Indigo’s work with Zahra has already made a difference for those with whom she has shared in Egypt. Zahra not only helps to address the excess plastic waste in Egypt, it also provides economic self support and pride in the women whom she has taught the handwork skills required.
Nicki was first called to Egypt in 1978 when the rock bank the Grateful Dead played three nights under the full moon, the third during a total eclipse. Nicki’s then husband, Rock Scully, has been the original manager for the band and was able to provide her passage. Nothing in her life prepared her for what it felt like to “return home.” After three trips that year, Nicki recognized that she was to become a healer, Nicki left California and moved to Oregon to find a teacher so that she could fulfil her calling. The teacher she found taught her what became Alchemical Healing, the comprehensive healing form for which she is most known and published as Alchemical Healing; A Guide to Spiritual, Physical, and Transformational Medicine. This teacher also introduced her to the Egyptian Pantheon, most notably Thoth who become her mentor and the architect of her future. It was ten years before Nicki lead her first trip to Egypt. By then she had developed relationships with a number of the neteru, the deities of Egypt, and they laid out a feast of magical experiences that transformed the lives of every person on that first tour and every tour subsequent.
Nicki Scully has been teaching healing, the Egyptian mysteries, and shamanic arts since 1983. She is the author of eight books. Although she is in the process of retiring, she still does free events such as Planetary Healing Calls to Action and occasional video-teleclasses. Nicki Scully founded Shamanic Journeys, Ltd., which still organizes spiritual pilgrimages to Egypt, at least through 2018.
